TOFWERK is seeking a front-end software engineer to strengthen our team developing control and acquisition software for our time-of-flight mass spectrometers. The successful applicant will combine their experience and knowledge of JavaScript and ReactJS with their excellent communication skills in development of a modular web app framework capable of rapid adaptation to meet the tailored requirements of a diverse set of stakeholders and customers. They will work in tandem with other software team members to integrate the user interface applications with the underlying TOFWERK libraries and services driving the instrument control functionality. Based on their knowledge of the field and use of TOFWERK technology, they will provide suggestions and feedback regarding potential short- and long-term product improvements and developments.

We invite applicants with experience levels ranging from recent graduates through 8 years of professional web app development experience.

  • Relevant software engineering tradeschool qualification
  • Structured and systematic approach to code development
  • US citizenship or permanent resident status
  • Fluency in English

Desirable Experience and Expertise

  • 2+ years experience in web app development using ReactJS
  • Experience using Agile development principles, particularly Kanban
  • Experience working as part of an international team across multiple time-zones
  • Bachelor of science (BS) degree
