Dr. Martin Tanner is the icpTOF Product Manager at TOFWERK in Thun, Switzerland. For his PhD work at ETH Zurich, Martin investigated the fundamentals of single-shot laser analysis with ICP-MS. During this work he realized the potential benefits of simultaneous mass analysis and was motivated to develop and characterize a prototype ICP-TOFMS. In collaboration with TOFWERK, this prototype grew into the icpTOF.
